Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

About God

There is only One True God (God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), Elohim who eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1, 26; John 5:7; Mat. 3:16-17; 28:19).

About Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (of Nazareth), in His Virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death on the cross, in His death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future to this earth in power and glory to rule for a thousand years (Phil. 2:6-11; Col. 1:14-15; 1 Thess. 4:16; Rev. 20:4; Rev. 22:20).

About The Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and with signs following (Acts 2:38-39; Joel 2:28; Acts 1:8; Mrk. 16:17)

About The Bible

We believe and accept the Holy Scriptures (the Bible) as the divinely inspired and only infallible and authoritative written word of God (II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:20-21).

About Salvation

We believe that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and are subject to eternal punishment; and need repentance and regeneration by the word and the Holy Spirit for personal salvation and sanctification in Christ Jesus (Rom. 3:23; Gen. 3:1-19; John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23; Tit. 3:5; Acts 17:30; Isa. 53:6). We also believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ (Rom. 3:20-25; II Cor. 5:21).

About Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion. (Mat. 3:13-16; Mk. 16:16; Rom. 6:3-4). We do not baptize infants but do dedicate them unto the Lord.

About Divine Health

The Church believes that the redemptive work of Christ provides healing from sicknesses and diseases for God’s people which can be appropriated by faith and prayer, or the enjoyment of divine health by the redeemed in Christ (Isa. 53:4-5; I Pet. 2:24; Mark 16:18; Jas 5:14-16; Mat. 8:7; John 10:10; III John 2). We do not oppose soliciting the help of qualified medical practitioners.

About The Rapture

We believe in the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church of Christ’s coming. (I Thess. 4:15-17)

About the Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (John 5: 28-29; Rev. 20:11-15).

What We Believe

We believe…

… in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the Word of God, that both Old and New Testaments are inerrant in the original writings and are supreme and final authority for faith and the details of life.

…in the Holy Trinity of the Godhead, existing as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  These three are distinct yet having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfection.

…the eternal existence of Jesus Christ as God.  His incarnation and virgin birth.  His death on the cross as substitutional atonement for all mankind’s sin; His literal bodily resurrection from the dead; His present ministry of intercession in Heaven; His future return to the earth.

…the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Godhead; He convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals, sets apart believers daily; He is a teacher of the Word of God and the guide for daily living.

…that all men descended from Adam whom God created (not evolved) innocent and pure; Adam fell through the sin of disobedience. Therefore, all men are corrupt in body, soul and spirit and in need of redemption.

… that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone, it is the gift of God apart from works. Salvation requires repentance towards God and turning away from one’s own way; salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus and His finished work; the Holy Spirit regenerates all who receive Jesus and makes them the children of God; that true salvation is an inward gift that manifests outward by a changed life.

…the infilling with the Holy Spirit as en empowerment of believers for effective service for God. We believe in the manifestation of all spiritual gifts; As signs of the infilling of the Spirit, these gifts are still valid in the Church today.

…that Jesus will catch up or rapture all true believers one day. We believe in the personal, visible and bodily return of Jesus to this earth; bodily resurrection of all unbelievers to judgement and everlasting punishment in the lake of fire prepared for Satan and all his followers.
